Amy Coney Barrett is a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She was nominated by President Donald Trump and confirmed on October 31, 2017. Before joining the bench, she served as a professor at the Notre Dame Law School, where she specialized in constitutional law and federal courts. After receiving her J.D. from the Notre Dame Law School, she clerked for Judge Laurence Silberman on the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and for Justice Antonin Scalia on the United States Supreme Court.
