Daniel Himebaugh is a Senior Staff Counsel for the Washington State Senate Republican Caucus.
He previously served as a staff attorney for Pacific Legal Foundation’s Pacific Northwest Center, where he focused on land use and environmental litigation. He represented individuals and associations in cases involving administrative agency and local government procedure, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and various land use matters.
Mr. Himebaugh graduated cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2009. At Pepperdine, he served as the lead articles editor of NAALJ, and as an editor of the Pepperdine Policy Review. He also participated in the moot court program, where he won best advocate in the 2009 Vincent S. Dalsimer Appellate Advocacy Competition, runner-up in the 2008 Skadden, Arps Foreign Direct Investment Moot Competition, and first place in the 2007 Armand Arabian Advocacy Tournament. He earned a Master’s of Public Policy degree from Pepperdine University School of Public Policy in 2009, and he is also a 2004 Hillsdale College graduate summa cum laude in political science.
