Wes Hendrix is an Assistant United States Attorney and the Appellate Chief in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, in 2000 from the University of Chicago. He received a Juris Doctor, with high honors, in 2003 from the University of Texas School of Law. He began his legal career as a law clerk to Judge Patrick Higginbotham of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, from 2003 to 2004. From 2004 to 2007, he was an associate at the law firm of Baker Botts, practicing complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts. Since 2007, he has served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas and, since 2012, Chief of the Appellate Division. He is a member of the United States Attorney General’s Advisory Committee and the Chair of the nationwide Appellate Chiefs Working Group.
