Tessa L. Dysart received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Willamette University in 2001, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2005. Between her undergraduate and law degrees she studied in Moscow, Russia, on a Fulbright. She joined the Regent University School of Law faculty in 2012.
Prior to coming to Regent, Prof. Dysart worked on important public policy issues, including human trafficking and judicial nominations at the Department of Justice Office of Legal Policy, the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the American Center for Law & Justice. She clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit for the Hon. Dennis W. Shedd.
She currently teaches Appellate Advocacy, Constitutional Law, and First Amendment.
